Biography
-Bio
My name is Keo Phoksambo, better known as KaKa42.
Since I was a child, I have always loved playing video games. As I grew older and gained access to the internet, I discovered the world of esports. I was amazed to see professional players competing on international stages and representing their countries. That inspired me to ask myself one question:
"Why can't Cambodia do the same?"
From that moment, I dreamed of helping Cambodian esports grow, creating more opportunities for local players, and one day seeing Cambodian teams compete on the international stage while proudly raising the Cambodian flag.
That dream became the beginning of my journey in esports.
-Before Becoming a Caster
Before becoming a caster, I was a streamer who played many different games and created content for the gaming community. However, my biggest goal was never just to entertain people—it was to help build a stronger esports ecosystem in Cambodia.
Over the years, I took on many different roles, including community builder, content creator, tournament producer, and referee. Working behind the scenes allowed me to understand every part of organizing competitive events.
Eventually, I realized something important: Cambodia lacked experienced esports casters.
Instead of waiting for someone else to fill that role, I decided to become one myself. I studied professional English-speaking casters from around the world, learning their techniques, storytelling, and game analysis. I then adapted those skills into a casting style that connected with Cambodian audiences.
That decision changed my career.
-My MPL Cambodia Journey
Although I had already gained casting experience in several esports titles, my dream was to become part of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Cambodia (MPL KH).
When MPL KH Season 1 began, I wasn't selected as an official caster. Instead, I joined as a special guest for the first two weeks. While I was disappointed, I treated it as an opportunity to prove myself.
After those two weeks, the organizers recognized my potential and invited me to join the broadcast team as an official analyst.
At that time, the league already had several casters, so I focused on becoming the best analyst I could be. I continued improving my game knowledge, communication skills, and broadcast performance while also developing as a caster.
Since then, I have had the opportunity to work on major Mobile Legends tournaments, including MSC, M-Series World Championships, and other premier esports events.
-Today
Today, I work professionally as both an esports caster and analyst.
As a caster, my goal is to bring every match to life with energy, excitement, and emotion.
As an analyst, my responsibility is to help viewers understand the strategy behind the game—from drafting and macro decisions to team fights and win conditions.
Beyond tournament broadcasts, I continue to grow my personal brand as KaKa42 by streaming regularly, creating gaming content, hosting podcasts, and engaging with the Cambodian gaming community across multiple social media platforms.
Even after many years in esports, my mission remains the same:
To help Cambodian esports grow and inspire the next generation of players, creators, and esports professionals.
